I use Windows link all the time, too, and people keep asking me how I can text an entire paragraph so quickly. I also like the quick PC access to the photos on my phone without having to use OneDrive to go get them.
Totally agree on Thanksgiving. My favorite as well, and I'm not especially fond of autumn in general. I don't know exactly how it's resisted commercialization so well, that's probably a great topic for another day, but I'm glad it has. It has just such a beautiful simplicity: a primordial harvest festival that's survived into the modern age, where you just talk, eat, and be grateful.
Happy T-day, Freddy. May all your football wishes come true. (do you even like college ball? don't know, but I was born in, grew up in, and again live in a college centric world.)
Sheil is the best. As an Eagles fan, he was essential reading/listening going back probably 15 years? He left Philly for a few years to be the Seahawks beat writer but I was thrilled when he came back.
Moved around a bit but have followed him everywhere he’s gone.
Thankful for Freddie, and his "bringing his lunch pail" approach to writing on Substack. Prolific and often profound. I'm thankful in particular for Subscriber Writing, which is meaningful for many, including myself. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
I am so glad that I found you and your writing. I have no idea where and how I did, but my conversations with my husband not infrequently have a bit of "Freddie said this/wrote about that" sprinkled in, always in a good way. :)
Happy Thanksgiving, Freddie - it’s good to see you able to lean back and enjoy it easily - and thank you, as always, for the writing.
The best thing about the link app is sending torrents of text to somebody who was just expecting a quick message back.
Happy Thanksgiving.

Copy and paste for the win.

Happy Thanksgiving to you too, Freddie.
Yes to Thanksgiving and the New York Times game app. Thanks Freddie.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Enjoy the day, Freddie. I completely agree that it is the best holiday.
Happy Thanksgiving to you Freddy. Grateful for all the wonderful work that you do!
Empire Records is near and dear for me. "What's with today...today."
Looking forward to more on desktops. I miss having a proper setup and relying on my laptop. Am getting one this week. Black Friday.

Grateful for the thoughtfulness and clarity you always bring. Happy Thanksgiving.

Your wife will undoubtedly appreciate hearing from you that one of the best guards against insomnia, including during pregnancy, is sex.
Indeed, there is much to be thankful for.
