In fast food? I’m not sure about the situation now, but when I worked at McDonalds in the 90s the back staff was entirely composed of illegal inmigrants. Some used other folks IDs but I don’t think they actually checked most folks or if so they used fake SSNs.

Yeah, they weren’t under the table by any means. They made decent money considering they were all on the schedule 54 hours a week and got OT, especially since many of them at our location were related and shared expenses too.

Yea it’s not the 90s anymore. That was 30 years ago. But they still used IDs, even if they were fake or not their own.
