Lots of serious topics here. I'm happy to have submitted an article discussing ass-grabbing turtle monkeys.

Dylan Selterman, your article was so surprising and eye-opening to me. You have me convinced that the algorithms aren't leading people into extremist rabbit holes, but what's your take on a related concern--I notice that when I consume heterodox content on YouTube, the algorithm then starts suggesting people like Ben Shapiro or Jordan Peterson. They're not "extremists" but they're considerably to the right of anything I'm watching.

I forgot that I had seen Ed Realist out in the comments. Thought for a second that he had given up his independence to come to Substack, but pleasantly surprised to get redirected to the classic site.

Hm, I could swear I read the Infovores piece on masking before...I even remember the masked runway model at the end. But I'm not in the habit of exploring other blags outside links roundups like this. A repeat, perhaps? Or linked from some other blogger's roundup?

That most recent tale from Malston Reeves...brr. It's cool to see a fresh author finding his stride, improving quickly vs earlier posts. I like reading ratfic* and so tend to automatically predict ahead, which ruins most horror-genre stories (cause narrative convention is to rely on immersive suspension of disbelief)...the good ones that throw curveball left field twists are therefore extra-good. Planning to subscribe if trend continues, thanks for the hat tip.
