I was recently in Europe; being able to read random street signs or menus in unfamiliar languages and talk to people in their own language using the iOS translate app is AMAZING. Like, there was a sign with a bunch of text taped to the window of a shop, you take a picture of it and the app translates all the text preserving font/color/size so you can see what’s going on - the one I’m thinking of was saying this block is a closed area for street construction and telling people where they can drop off garbage/recycling in the interim.
