There was a lively discussion about my last post on Facebook yesterday. There was a lot of enthusiastic people participating. Let me address some common complaints. I am mad because I believe something that you expressly agree with. The most depressing response was all of the people who made claims that I had myself made in the post and then represented that as criticism. That is, dozens of people made statements that they imagined contradicted me, even though those statements were points I had made in the very piece the were attempting to critique. This problem can generally be avoided if you take the radical step of reading what you are responding to.
