Thank you for sharing my odd little autofiction. Honored to be included. Can't wait to parse through the other pieces!

Thank you Freddie. There's quite an overwhelming amount of interesting looking pieces this month. I've already thoroughly appreciated Meghan Boilard's piece on Scott Adams' terminal cancer and death, which I must send to Simon and Julia of cult band The Indelicates! (it's a topic you can easily imagine covered on their last album, honestly). I loved Dilbert as a kid, weirdly, so it was a sad but super interesting read for me.

Happy Birthday lil guy! Freddie I am fully in favor of your letting that person analyse your poop, if that's the kind of thing you accept public input on.

It feels weird and awkward to comment on what wasn't intended as an open letter, so I'll just put this here: it's oddly reassuring to have an easily testable hypothesis if I or anyone I know is unfortunate enough to experience psychosis in the future. Appreciative. That's the other thing with quack cures like chelation, it feels like Doing Something, rather than sitting with the unhappy knowledge that Fortuna just gave you a shitty hand for no particular reason. Doing Something feels better than suffering quietly, even if it's dumb and probably won't help either.

(Wonder if you could reach out to Kanye...)

Thanks for the link! This feature keeps getting bigger (I think we're up to 100?). Would it make sense at some point to divide the submissions by section, maybe adding a drop-down in the a Google form to identify pieces as Fiction/Tech/Culture etc, and organize the list under headers so people can more easily scan for what they're most interested in?

AstralCodexTen does something similar in grouping "Classifieds" into different sections, which makes it easier to navigate as the reader base has grown.

Aww - I think Scott Alexander's twins are cute too, but your little guy is seriously adorable.

What a bumper crop this time too. Calling out sick doesn't feel so bad with dozens of new things to read. I do wish to shamelessly commend Mark Newheiser's new fiction, which was a pleasure, and also got me to go back and re-read back issues of the same serial. (Which...I am pretty sure I also discovered through a Freddie Subscriber Writing, years ago!)

I think you should hear the poop guy out. Just sayin’.

Egg noodle one has a broken link, which is a shame cause I do love me a good stroganoff.

Can't comment on the Dilbert one without paying, which is also a shame, cause it's an interesting bookend to the other Scott's (Alexander) Dilbert epitaph...in which he largely glosses over the podcast as small beans, to talk about the comics and Adams' philosophy more. So getting a very different perspective helps fill in several blanks. I too grew up comforted and amused by those wacky office hijinks, along with my entire family, and was as shocked as anyone at the apparent heel turn in 2015. Still wrestling to reconcile what was with what became, and where that leaves one-time fans. To paraphrase my enduringly favourite strip: we ask for so little in life, and boy do we get it.
