Why do you think you will never be cut again? Is it your age that prevents that?

I exercise alot and have for decades (am 65, but pass and been told i look mid-50s), but not really a weight lifter. I was never really cut, but had definition in legs and some in torso....some years ago.

I find that as you get older, you don't have the capacity to work at the level of intensity you once did. The energy and strength just aren't there. But you can still retain good shape. (The gym I go to is filled with pretty nice young(ish) people who are really beautiful....I think many of the guys were athletes in high school and college and the ladies must also have done athletics. It's kind of funny how many stupendously great looking guys, largely straight ones, there are at that gym.)

I, on the other hand, have discovered the world of ice cream, cookies, tacos, pudding and bar b q....and pizza! Still in decent shape, nowhere the 9% bodyfat I once was.

*sigh* Your post on The Matrix is "destined to be called contrarian" because it IS contrarian, by the dictionary definiton of "contrarian".

(But not "trolling", by the [urban]dictionary definition of "trolling".)

Words have meanings. Isn't that a principle you believe in?

Didn’t expect to see a Paul Baribeau reference here. That song takes me back to simpler times.

Seconding the Baribeau surprise from AndrewD. He's a musician who loomed very large in my taste from 16-19 and since then I've thought more about his straight edge Tutankhamun merch than about any of the songs.

Also would like to crowdsource a book recommendation from the people here -- I'm looking to read something about the development of the early modern Italian city states - sort of the rise of the Florentine & Venetian banking families and the Italian wars.

Perfect example of a Gawker extended universe take. I was pretty disappointed with that piece.

I believe the phrase is "get off the schneid," it's a yiddishism
